Condition & Packing

Two things worth knowing before you order: what we mean when we call something new, and how it reaches you.

Condition

Every item carries a condition on its product page. These are the only four we use.

Brand New & Sealed
Factory sealed, exactly as it left the plant. We don’t open it to check, and neither should you until it’s home.
Brand New
Never owned, never played, but not sealed. Some titles simply don’t ship shrink-wrapped — imports and paperbacks in particular. Nothing is missing.
Brand New Outlet Product
New, unplayed stock that didn’t reach us through the normal retail chain. See below.
Pre-Owned
Previously owned, described honestly and photographed as it is. We currently sell pre-owned games only.

What “Outlet” actually means

It’s the one label that needs explaining, because it covers three different situations. We tell you which one applies on the product page itself.

  • Nothing wrong with it. The item is flawless and the label simply reflects how it reached us.
  • Shop wear on the outside. A bumped corner, a scuffed sleeve, a price sticker, a split in the shrink-wrap. The media inside is untouched.
  • Resealed. The wrap is not the original factory seal, though the contents are new and unplayed.

In every case the item itself is new and has never been played or read. Outlet stock is priced below a standard sealed copy, and we photograph what you will actually receive.

Packing

Records ship in proper vinyl mailers — rigid board with folding flaps, made for the job. Not padded envelopes, not repurposed boxes. It is the most common way a record arrives damaged and the easiest one to avoid.

Manga, games and CDs ship in a padded envelope or a cardboard letterbox mailer, whichever fits the item properly. Larger box sets go into a box. The principle is the same throughout: a parcel that cannot shift does not need padding, and one that can, gets it.

We reuse clean packing materials where they are sound. It is less waste, and it does not make your parcel any less protected.

If something arrives wrong

Photograph it before unpacking further and email us. Damage in transit is our problem to solve, not yours to absorb — see our terms and conditions for how returns and refunds work.
