“Lose Yourself” got to me as a kid, made me obsessed with Eminem, and everything I listened to afterwards was built on that. If I had to keep one track out of the entire discography, it’s that one, every single time.

It comes in exactly where the film needs it to: at the end of Jimmy’s story as we’ve known it, and at the beginning of whatever comes next. He wins the battle, turns down the easy victory lap, hugs Future, and walks off on his own. The film ends there, but you already know what that walk is supposed to mean.
